Greetings from RUSC.

Here's good news for all the enthusiastic students who are interested in Research . We are going to offer a 3-days offline training program on "Hands on Training on SPSS and R for Data Analysis" on February 10, 2023 to February 12, 2023.

R and SPSS are two industry-leading technologies for statistical data analysis.  R is an open-source programming language that is widely used as the preferred option for analytics. Whereas SPSS is known as Statistical Package for the social science owned by IBM.

R is one of the most popular and powerful programming languages that data scientists are currently using. You can use R to clean, analyze, and graph your data. R is widely used in genetics, bioinformatics, drug discovery, and epidemiology. Why R is so popular in data scientists? Because of its-

1. Free and open-source
2. Reproducible research
3. Extremely easy data wrangling
4. Advanced visualizations
5. Quick implementation of new theoretical approaches
6. Easily extends to serve your specific needs

SPSS is also popular because of its simplicity, easy-to-follow command language, and well-documented user manual. There are a handful of statistical methods that can be leveraged in SPSS, including: 

• Descriptive statistics, including methodologies such as frequencies, cross-tabulation, and descriptive ratio statistics.
• Bivariate statistics, including methodologies such as analysis of variance (ANOVA), means, correlation, and nonparametric tests.
• Numeral outcome prediction such as linear regression.
• Prediction for identifying groups, including methodologies such as cluster analysis and factor analysis.

In this program, participants will learn basic for statistical data analysis, computational software R and SPSS, and their application to research. Hope this program will fulfill the thrust of the research enthusiast new learners.

?Day1:

Creating and importing data, Recoding and transforming data, Presenting data by Table and Graph, Descriptive Statistics.

?Day2:

Test of hypothesis (parametric and nonparametric), Correlation and Association, Simple Regression, Multiple Regression.

?Day3:

Logistic Regression, Factor Analysis.
